Conservation Treatment
Each object has a different history, showing diverse deterioration problems and damages. Followed by careful examination, we propose various treatments, considering its originality and aesthetic quality and suggest appropriate conservation housing. Treatment methods and techniques used comply with the professional guidelines of The Japan Society for the Conservation of Cultural Property and Code of Ethics and guidelines for practice of American Institute for Conservation.
Survey
We perform condition surveys for individual object and collections, providing condition reports and treatment proposals, and evaluations for housing and storage. We do inspection and record condition for touring exhibitions. Condition reports are available in Japanese and English. Various tests and analysis, fumigation can be arranged with specialized institutions.
Preservation
We provide services on preventive conservation and collection care for objects and advise on housing, storage, framing and exhibition.
